Teach (Corvis brachyrhynchos)The most infamous of the corsairs, Teach was the leader of more than 100 crows whose marauding was approved by the colonial government. In theory, corsairs were to only attack ships that were enemies of the colony. Teach, however, often looted ships from friendly nations. Teach was brilliant, treacherous and ruthless in battle. As a corvid he was an estranged cousin to Blue Jay.
Eggs: 4-6 dull green eggs, spotted with dark brown in a large mass of twigs and sticks.
